The position statement put together in this paper is quite appropriate. It tends to make a point by describing the current situate where researching in the field of nursing practice is lacking funding. The author has aptly written the introduction and conclusion in the paper. Moreover the position statement and the topic go hand in hand. The author has worked strictly according to the National Competency Standards for Registered Nurse, which lays down various standards for the registered nurses. The standards as laid down by the Registered Nurse Standards For Practice comprises of seven values, namely, reflects perilously as well as analyses treatment practice, takes in remedial and skilled associations, upholds the competence to follow, expansively carries out evaluation, builds up a map for treatment, offers safe and approachable worth nursing practice and lastly, evaluates upshot to put in the picture the nursing practice (“Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Home”, 2016). The understanding and submission of these principles for the nurses play a vital role in their nursing practice (Terry, Stirling, Bull, & Fassett, 2015). The author has managed to provide links to the position statement, but they are however inadequate. The author could have provided more legitimate and rational links to almost every position statement. The evidence provided for the position statement is credible. The Evidenced-based care strains the significance of applying scientific confirmation properly in the liberation of healthiness (Holley, 2016). The evidences that are connected to real life situations tend to make nursing practice more real. It also, enables the nurse to understand the effectiveness of the research work. The author takes into account evidence stating the research done in the wound healing. Along with this evidence some more evidences could have been added that could demonstrate the actual nursing practice situations and some of their experiences. The exploitation of the values intended for agenda in sequence expertise to hold up evidence-based perform, has been largely supported (Phelps, Hyde, & Planchon Wolf, 2015).
On the whole, although the paper has a few tribulations but on the total front, the paper clearly presents the viewpoint with which it had been written. The position statement has been in the approved manner been formulated. The author has tried to bridge the gap between the research and the funding scenario with some evidence and facts. The paper tries to elaborate almost every aspect of the position statement that it has taken into account. The paper, on the whole, takes into consideration the various standards as laid down by the National Competency Standards for Registered Nurse and befits the topic’s central idea.
